My Personal Trainer Ainslee Shafto @ElitePro_CHE

So most of my life I have been active through being a dancer, but after an injury I had to stop dancing and put on a bit of weight… whilst recovering from my injury I joint the gym and started doing classes… such as Zumba, Aerobics, Body Tone and Boxercise, I didn’t fancy running or doing any majorly high impact classes as I was scared I would loose my breath or even worse FAINT.

Doing all this exercise did make me feel more toned, but I still felt like I was unfit compared to others who could run on a treadmill for 30 minutes (where as I struggled to run for 5 minutes) or do a Circuit Training class (They really scared me) I bet there are a lot of women out there who feel the same??

I wanted to do something about this.. So I searched the internet for Personal Trainers and came across Ainslee! I think I was drawn to him because his website said he was a “Home Trainer” I thought this would avoid any embarrassment of being watched by others in the gym and also when you have those days when you can’t be bothered, he will appear at your house and you will have no choice but to train! 😀

I have had Ainslee as my Personal Trainer for around 5 months now, and in that time I have lost 2 stone, he has made me feel so much more fit and healthy and what I love the most is when people say to me how great I am looking.. It definitely gives me the motivation to keep going 🙂 It has taken me time to get where I am now, but it shows that anything is possible!

Cheshire Gossip Girl’s Personal Plan: (including workouts at the gym by myself)

Monday: Insanity 45 minute class, 20 minute StairMaster workout.

Tuesday: Personal Training Session – Creating lean muscle mass, to help me with my cardio and make me stronger – Kettlebells, Weights, TRX, Squats etc

Wednesday: I just do a light cardio workout at the gym, 30 minute run on the treadmill (which I could never do before remember)

Thursday: REST DAY

Friday: Personal Training Session – Ainslee takes me for a run, doing lots of sprints and really pushing me (this is a tough workout) followed by an AB workout, really focusing on my core.

Saturday/Sunday: I try to workout at least once over the weekend, normally a 1 hour cardio session at the gym.

Nutritional Food Plan:

Ainslee also created me a personal food plan for all my fitness needs. He calculated how much protein I would need for the amount of exercise I do each week for my muscles to recover and also taking into consideration that I wanted to loose weight, so I was on a “high protein low carb diet” which gave me amazing results… Ainslee also gave me some great recipes and lot’s of knowledge I never even knew about food. I am going on holiday in August so he has suggested that I do his cleanse before I go away, so I am very excited to start this next week! I will let you know how it goes.

I am now looking at entering a race.. Either 10k or 15k, If I was told I would be doing a run 1 year ago I wouldn’t believe it!!
